We are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted by the Cateys for the Accessibility Award!

The award recognises the operators going above and beyond the Equality Act requirements in accommodating and catering for people with disabilities and special needs.

Throughout the Club's development, we have continually improved facilities for everyone. We wanted to ensure that everyone visiting us with a disability or without would have the same experience.

Some disabilities are physical, and others are hidden, and we wanted to make sure that everyone that comes through our doors has the same quality of stay and time with us.

Some of our changes were brought on by listening to our members, including a former Royal Marine Captain who was a wheelchair user that faced significant challenges in accessing our building independently.

Based on that vital feedback, we re-developed our main entrance and our entrance into our main Events space from Seymour Street. With some financial support from Help for Heroes and Club funds

We were also supported by Help for Heroes to install a new lift capable of accepting larger wheelchairs so that all members and guests could attend functions in our main hall.

We have also ensured that staff play a vital role; we have worked periodically with an Accessibility Consultant who has helped the team better understand the challenges faced by our members and guests with disabilities.

It's an enormous delight that these efforts and more have been recognised, and we are grateful to have been shortlisted alongside two other brilliant venues.
