VSC Sales and Marketing Manager Joanna Lunn has secured a place on the prestigious Meetings Industry Association miaList 2020. The miaList celebrates outstanding and passionate individuals in the meetings and events sector.
Joanna proactively generates income from bedroom, event, and conference hire of the VSC’s space to support the Club’s charitable objectives. She joined the venue in 2018. Joanna has worked in events and hospitality for a number of years and her previous roles have included working as General Manager for Compass Group where she managed the restaurants and cafes at House of Fraser, Oxford Street, and Sales and Events Manager at Sydney Town Hall and Customs House, a heritage listed venue in the centre of Sydney, Australia.
The mia said ‘The judges felt Joanna was a resilient leader who has successfully accomplished cultural change bringing three disparate departments together to great positive effect and protect the venue through the pandemic’.
Joanna said ‘I am thrilled to win this award, this means a lot to me and the club especially after a dreadful year we have all had. It’s so nice to have some great news and be recognised in our industry'.
