Surrounded by some of London’s greatest attractions

If you have spare time during your visit to us, there are many great attractions on our doorstep. From the famous Marble Arch to Hyde Park, Big Ben and the theatre district, make the most of your time with us and explore the local area.

One of London’s greatest monuments

A five-minute walk from the venue is the 19th-century white marble-faced triumphal arch. Designed by John Nash in 1827 as the original entrance to Buckingham Palace, historically only members of the Royal Family and the King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery were permitted to pass through the arch during ceremonial processions. Today you can find the arch located in a large traffic island at the junction of Oxford Street, Park lane and Edgware Road.

The best retail therapy location London has to offer

A short five-minute tube journey or a leisurely 20-minute walk away you will find yourself at the centre of Oxford Street, one of London’s most popular shopping districts. From Tottenham Court Road all the way to Marble Arch, Oxford Street is Europe’s busiest shopping street and contains over 300 shops. If you are visiting during the festive season, The Oxford Street Christmas lights are a spectacle not to be missed.

The largest of the four Royal parks of London

Hyde Park sits on the doorstep of the VSC and is the perfect breakout during the summer. The park has plenty of places to relax and unwind as well as world-class events and concerts. Boating, tennis and horseriding are also available at the park. The park is also home to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain and the Serpentine River.

Some of London’s most iconic attractions

Just a 14-minute tube ride away is Westminster, home to popular attractions including Big Ben, The London Eye and the London Dungeons. For tickets to these attractions and to find out about others in the area visit Merlins Magical London website.

Visit the main theatre district of ‘Theatreland’

A short tube journey or 35-minute walk will take you to London’s theatre district in the West End. ‘Theatreland’ features over 40 venues showing some of the world’s most popular shows and musicals from The Phantom of the Opera to Blood Brothers.
